Lost+Found is more than just a city guide. It’s a site that provides individualized finds on where to eat, shop, party, and sleep — whether you are at home or abroad.

While supplemented with editorial information, Lost+Found is powered predominantly by your finds. This is your opportunity to let other like-minded folks know about the places and things you love. Whether it’s a rooftop jazz bar in Buenos Aires or a walk through the graffiti hall of fame in Berlin, we want you to tell us about it and you to hear about it.

History of Lost+Found

Lost+Found was inspired by a Skype conversation that Melissa, who was living in Seoul at the time, had with her sister Joy in New York City. Joy wanted to create a personalized guidebook for her friends who had just moved from New York to their hometown of Seattle. Having just moved to a new city herself, Melissa also wanted a guide based on her individual interests. An insider who could tell her where to camp out for free wi-fi, find the best happy hour, and shop for unique finds. The two sisters decided to take matters into their own hands. They recruited their tech and travel savvy friends Jeff and Lauren in Seattle, and friend and design authority Thomas in Brooklyn to execute the site. After three-time-zone conference calls and months of research and content development, Lost+Found was born.
