For the most part, the name pretty much says it all. This is a good go to spot for music that's not mainstream and fits in the realm of electronica, indy rock, hip hop, experimental, dance, non-U.S. and other. They peddle cd's, vinyl, some used, some magazines, and tickets for shows. Most of the staff has a hand or two in bands, side projects, etc. and are pretty friendly but not without a bit of good ol' music snobbery. Not sure if it's endemic of all genres but noticed lately that the hip hop section is dwindling to only popular independent style hip hop, a safe selection of releases that will be enjoyed by open minded listeners that have a different favored genre. Still, a good place to check out.
